In 1996 Chevrolet released the K2500 Cheyenne to the truck-buying market. The K2500 came in four configurations: WT, Silverado, Cheyenne, and Base. The Cheyenne configuration is powered by the 5.7-liter eight-cylinder engine, which makes 22 highway miles and 17 city. The K2500 competes in the Cab & Chassis market segment, in direct competition with Kia.
In 1999 Chevrolet released the K1500 Suburban Base to the truck-buying market. The K1500 Suburban came in two configurations: LS and Base. The Base configuration is powered by the 5.7-liter eight-cylinder engine, which makes 20 highway miles and 16 city. The K1500 Suburban competes in the Sport Utility market segment, in direct competition with Honda.
A lot has been said about the Chevrolet K1500 Suburban for 1997. As Chevrolet's entry in the sport utility market the K1500 Suburban (and in this case specically the Base version) has maintained a good reputation. The 4-door K1500 Suburban is especially appealing to wide market segment, making it a perfect truck to help Chevrolet as a brand in general.
There have been several award-winning trucks from Chevrolet over the years, including the Chevrolet K1500 Suburban of 1999. There are two trim levels to the K1500 Suburban, including LS and Base. The LS version is one of the more popular options, outselling other configurations. Like in 1998 the popular 5.7 liter Vortec has made this a popular choice for sport utility buyers nationwide.
