The fuel system for the 2009 F-450 Super Duty is a traditional EFI, running on DIESEL fuel. The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The capacity of the fuel tank is 12 gallons.

The F-450 Super Duty XLT received a miles-per-gallon rating of seventeen in-city driving and twenty three when it came to highway driving. Being a diesel-powered non-hybrid truck, this was exceptional.

The 2008 model began the promise of the Ford F-450 Super Duty. The 2009 expanded on this success and has proven to be a strong seller in most markets. Even with strong competition from other manufacturers Ford hopes that the F-450 Super Duty XLT will continue to be a profitable vehicle.
